Remembrance Day Film: The Fallow Few

A multi award-winning British film, made in Hampshire and based on a true story from the First World War.

1916. The Western Front.
Corporal George Hansen has found a way to survive the trenches. His new posting is to guard British soldiers awaiting execution for desertion. But as he watches young men condemned to death, the safety he fought for begins to weigh heavier than the danger he escaped.

When George befriends Lieutenant Edwin Dyett, a young officer facing the firing squad, he is forced to confront the devastating consequences of following orders without question. With dawn approaching, George must decide how far he is prepared to go to save another man's life, and whether he can live with himself if he does nothing.

Starring Sir Tony Robinson, The Fallow Few is a powerful anti-war drama about courage, conscience, friendship and sacrifice, exploring the human cost of conflict and the moral choices faced by those caught in its machinery.

And this is a story with a very special local connection.
The Fallow Few was shot, produced and financed at Black Hangar Studios in Hampshire, before going on to win multiple awards at international film festivals and secure worldwide distribution.

Now, as Remembrance Day approaches, we're bringing this remarkable Hampshire-made film home with a special limited theatrical release.
Selected screenings will feature Sir Tony Robinson, the director and members of the cast, with opportunities for audience Q&As, photographs, interviews and signings.

We are also working with charitable partners, including the Poppy Appeal and The King's Trust, to ensure the release supports a purpose beyond the screen.
