Kerala comes to Whitehill & Bordon!

The Kala Chethana Kathakali company are bringing an exhibition, performances and four FREE workshops to The Phoenix Theatre & Arts Centre this November, starting with a Mohiniattam dance workshop on Saturday 9th November from 2-4pm.

Mohiniattam, known as the ‘dance of the enchantress’, is bathed in serenity and performed with tender, soft, graceful movements that evoke images of swaying coconut palms. This beautiful dance is powerful symbol of the cultural identity of the women of Kerala and is a core part of their ancient heritage.

This FREE workshop is open to guests of all ages and will include a tour of the impressive Kathakali exhibition on display in The Phoenix Theatre's interval room.
