Matinee Moments: Some Like it Hot

Following the incredible response to our Classic Afternoon Cinema events in August, we’re delighted to introduce Matinee Moments – a brand-new series of free monthly film screenings celebrating timeless classics on the big screen.

Brought to you in partnership with Whitehill & Bordon Community Trust, we are kicking things off with the sparkling comedy Some Like It Hot! Starring screen legends Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, and Jack Lemmon, this 1959 classic follows two hapless musicians who witness a mob hit and go on the run—disguised as women in an all-female jazz band. Packed with sharp wit, sizzling chemistry, and iconic performances, it’s widely considered one of the greatest comedies of all time.

As always, guests will enjoy a complimentary hot drink and slice of cake – the perfect cosy treat for an autumn afternoon.
