MUGGED
By Andrew Payne
Every morning, a group of teenagers meet on their way to school, hanging out on the benches in the park. But getting to school isn't quite as straightforward as it should be. Take the shortcut through the park and risk running into the muggers, or take the long way round and risk being late.
When Soph has her phone stolen, Marky thinks he recognises one of the muggers and volunteers to get it back for her. What seems like a straightforward act of friendship soon takes a very different turn, with consequences nobody could have predicted.
Andrew Payne's gripping play explores friendship, loyalty, courage and the pressures of growing up, asking what happens when doing the right thing goes horribly wrong.
