Lava Elastic lands at The Phoenix with an unforgettable night of boundary-pushing comedy, spoken word, and joyful chaos!

Born as one of the UK’s first openly neurodiverse comedy nights, Lava Elastic has built a reputation for showcasing bold, brilliant performers who bend form, expectations, and genre into something fresh, funny, and fiercely alive. Each edition is a hand-picked mix of comedy, poetry, and unexpected performance, held together by warmth, mischief, and connection.

This latest edition comes to Bordon on the 16th October, bringing together a line-up of artists who each offer something distinct: razor-sharp stand-up, poetic digressions, character comedy, musical moments, and beautifully unpredictable live work. On the line-up in Bordon, we have:

Stephen Catling
Stephen Catling is a high energy surrealist clown , a rising star of the comedy circuit. Stephen has many awards , finals and semifinals to his name and is praised for his originality and left field thinking

Jonny Brook
Jonny Brook, an award winning (Yorkshire Comedy Awards Breakthrough Act Winner 2023), sat down stand up. He's really disabled, but thankfully, he's really hilarious about it. Best In Class Member 2026

Sallyann Fellowes
Sallyann is a multi-award-winning autistic force of nature and self confessed weirdo. She's also very funny

Imogen Wade
Imogen Wade is a writer and mental health practitioner based in Hampshire. She won the National Poetry Competition 2023. Her work appeared in Bi+ Lines: An Anthology of Contemporary Bi+ Poets, and her first book Girl, Swooning (Corsair, 2026) is available now. 

Vic Melody
Victoria Melody is an award-winning artist, performer and comedian who makes funny, inventive work about real people and communities whose work has toured across the UK and internationally to critical acclaim.  Victoria also works creatively with young people and communities, helping people turn their own experiences, observations and ideas into performance, using comedy, storytelling, improvisation and games. 

Hosted by the brilliant Sarah Saeed, the evening moves between acts with charm, wit, and a real knack for making the room feel instantly at ease. A night that feels alive, generous, and gloriously unpolished in all the right ways!
