This event has ended.

Rodney Williams (Bill Nighy), a veteran civil servant, receives a medical diagnosis that inspires him to move to the south coast and cram some fun into his remaining days.

He neglects to tell his son Michael (Barney Fishwick) and daughter-in-law, Fiona (Patsy Ferran), instead opting to withdraw half of his life savings, and head to a seaside resort town.

On his return to London, Williams runs into Miss Harris (Aimee Lou Wood), a former colleague who took up a position at a restaurant while he was away. Williams' nosy neighbour spots the pair having lunch and tells Fiona, who demands Michael speak to his father about the potential scandal.

Williams attempts to tell Michael about his diagnosis, but neither of them are able to bring up what they need to talk about.
