While looking for the perfect Christmas present for his teenage son Billy (Zach Galligan), Randall Peltzer (Hoyt Axton) stumbles upon the ideal companion, a furry Mogwai.
However, the otherwise sweet pet comes with a warning: should its unwise owner break the three fundamental guidelines of owning such an exotic creature, all hell will break loose. And when Billy disregards the strict rules, destruction is at hand. But now, there is no turning back.
Can the unsuspecting inhabitants of Kingston Falls escape the endless Yuletide nightmare and the horrifying Gremlin menace?
