Phoenix Arts' Writers Scratch Night Returns

Writers are asked to submit a ten-minute play for an opportunity to see their work rehearsed and performed on The Phoenix Theatre stage.

We are now open for submissions, so get writing!

Writers are asked to submit a ten-minute play for an opportunity to see their work rehearsed and performed on The Phoenix Theatre stage.

Selected scripts will be staged as part of a diverse evening of theatre, allowing writers to see their work on stage. Writers should be 'local', by which we mean that you're currently living or working within a 25-mile radius of The Phoenix Theatre. We welcome applications from writers of all ages, levels of experience and backgrounds.

Please email your ten-minute play, or extract from a play, with a brief covering note, for our consideration by Monday 15th May 2023 to Rob Allerston

The Scratch Night will be held at The Phoenix Theatre on Thursday 6th July 2023.

Further development opportunities may subsequently be offered to the right candidates.
